1 – When did you get your first Belgian?
My parents bought their first Belgian, Tervueren in the early 80’s when I was around 11 years old. My first own Belgian I got as a present for my 16th birthday, a groenendael female called Clyde van Lana’s Hof. Later when I moved out of the house we bought our first Tervueren male in France, Lotus de la Grande Lande.
2 – Which variant have you owned?
I have owned Tervueren and Groenendael.
3 – If any, what variant do you own today?
At this moment we only have tervuerens and one groenendael male living with friends.
4 – What is your favourite memory from you owning Belgians historically?
My favourite memories are going back many years, in the nineties. We were together with a large group of breeders, tervuerens and groenendael, and visited a lot of foreign shows together. Internet had not arrived yet so we were depending on exchanging information by phone or meetings at shows. We had such great times wit a lot of laughs and drinks😊
5 – What is your favourite memory from judging Belgians?
I have many favourite memories of judging Belgians. Being invited at many clubshows all over the world makes me proud. It’s a privillage to meet and see the quality in Belgians around the world. It makes me very happy to discover quality and meeting the owners. I love to judge puppies as they are our future and it is important they keep coming tot he shows.
6 – What is your favourite memory from your Breeding history?
My parents started breeding Belgians in the 80’s and got me involved since than. I am grateful for that and it has had a great influence on my life. After the loss of my mother things have changed and feels different, but we have continued the breeding to honor her. It’s not my goal to breed lot’s of litters in the future but some will be bred for sure.

1 – When did you get your first Belgian?
We bought our first Belgian, a Tervueren, in 1975: Zarka of The Two from Eric Desschans. We went to shows with him, and he gave us Grimm van de Hoge Laer, Cartoon du Perigord Vert etc.
2 – Which variant have you owned?
We always had Tervuerens and 2 Groenendaels.
3 – If any, what variant do you own today?
These days we still have 5 Tervueren females at home.
4 – What is your favourite memory from you owning Belgians historically?
Great memories were always to go to the Dutch and French Nationals, talking about dogs and see so many Belgians and their owners together in one place. Also, the after parties were unforgettable. And each year, there was a Belgian specialty with 300 dogs. Several years, the day after the show, we had a reunion at the Castle of Horst near our place, with all Swedish people joining us. In our memory is Anders Lyrholm.
5 – What is your favourite memory from judging Belgians?
It gave me so many memories judging Belgians all over the world, remember one year in Finland a class with a great entry of Malinois looking all so good.
6 – What is your favourite memory from your Breeding history?
We started breeding in 1998 under the name Grimmendans, and it makes us happy when the dogs we bred starts to cry and laugh when they see us, you know that typical Belgian smile. Also some people has become part of our family.
